West Virginia Interstate 79

Interstate 79 in West Virginia runs north to south for 161 miles from the Pennsylvania state line to I-77 exit 104 near Charleston. Northbound travelers should read up the chart. Southbound travelers read down the chart.

I-79 Rest Stop 85 Closed

The rest stop on I-79 northbound at mile marker 85 is closed. I don't know about southbound. I last saw the closed rest stop on 10/1/2009

I-79 Rest Stop 85 is Open

The rest stops at mile marker 85 on I-79 in W. Va are open again. I used the dump facility there on 7/31/11.
