Memaloose Rest Area, 11 miles west of The Dalles and 11 miles east of Hood River. East bound dump station is open year round. West bound dump station is open seasonally mid-March to mid-October. Oregon State Park Information Center, 800-551-6949, M-F, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.

not open 11.27.09. appears to be permanently or seasonaly closed.
