Interstate 8 in California runs east to west for 172 miles from the Arizona state line to Sunset Cliffs Blvd in San Diego. Eastbound travelers should read up the chart. Westbound travelers read down the chart.

Closure
According to California's Department of Transportation, the eastbound rest area is closed due to a broken water main. No time was given as to when this location will re-open.
Both east and west bound
Both east and west bound Sunbeam rest areas are closed until March 2011! According to signs posted on the interstate.
